Skycharge CEO to Speak at the First International Symposium on Drone Technology in Italy

Skycharge is pleased to announce its participation in the First International Symposium on Drone Technology, set to take place on October 15-16, 2024, at the Auditorium of the Polo Tecnologico di Navacchio in Pisa, Italy. This event is dedicated to exploring the research, development, and impact of drone technology across various industries.

Andrea Puiatti, Skycharge CEO, to Speak on BVLOS Drone Battery Swapping and Charging Infrastructure

Andrea Puiatti, Founder and CEO of Skycharge, will be a speaker at the symposium presenting his talk titled "Cross-Platform Charging Infrastructure for BVLOS Drone Operations", where he will discuss the innovations in drone battery swapping and charging solutions, particularly for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations:

"As the drone industry advances, the demand for efficient and scalable battery swapping and charging solutions has become critical, especially for BVLOS operations. This talk will explore the innovations behind drone battery swapping and charging stations, focusing on how these technologies are enabling the sustainable and flexible deployment of diverse drone models across various industries. By addressing current challenges and presenting real-world use cases, I will highlight how these solutions are driving the next wave of drone infrastructure and contributing to safer and more sustainable operations."

Our CEO’s presentation will offer valuable insights into how cross-platform charging infrastructure is supporting the growth of BVLOS drone operations, which are essential for industries such as logistics, energy, defense and agriculture.

Symposium Focus: The Impact of Drone Technology on Society

The symposium, titled “The Impact of Drone Technology on Society: Benefits and Challenges”, is organized by the "Nello Carrara" Institute of Applied Physics (CNR-IFAC), the Universidade de Vigo, and ABzero | Life Saving Partner. It will bring together experts from research and industry to explore how drone technologies are transforming operations across sectors while addressing regulatory, ethical, and safety challenges.

Key topics to be discussed during the event include:

  • Cross-platform charging solutions for BVLOS drone operations.

  • How drones are being used in real-world applications to address challenges in logistics, energy, and agriculture.

  • The role of sustainable infrastructure in supporting the growth and scalability of drone operations.

Why Attend

This symposium offers a key opportunity to engage with industry leaders, researchers, and technology experts who are shaping the future of drone operations. Focusing on BVLOS operations, infrastructure development, and regulatory compliance, the sessions will provide critical insights into the technologies and frameworks needed to drive the drone industry forward.

Skycharge’s involvement reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing drone charging infrastructure and contributing to the conversation on how technology can be harnessed to make drone operations more efficient, scalable, and sustainable.
